    Article Submission Requirements

    Manuscript Submission and Evaluation
Articles are accepted in both Turkish and English. Submitted manuscripts must not have been previously published or be under review by another journal. Authors are required to check the similarity (plagiarism) rate of their work using software such as Turnitin or iThenticate. Articles with a similarity rate exceeding 20% will not be considered for evaluation. If ethical committee approval is required for the study, authors must provide official documentation of such approval.

All submissions to the Istanbul Yeni Yüzyıl University Vocational School Journal are first subject to a preliminary review by the editor. At this stage, the manuscript is assessed for compliance with the journal’s scope, author guidelines, and similarity threshold. Manuscripts that pass this stage are evaluated by at least two independent reviewers within the framework of the double-blind peer review system. Authors and reviewers remain anonymous to each other. Based on the reviewers’ reports, the editor decides whether the manuscript will be accepted, revised, or rejected. If one reviewer provides a positive and the other a negative report, the manuscript is not forwarded to a third reviewer but assigned to a new one. The average evaluation period is 6–8 weeks. Accepted manuscripts are published digitally after final checks are completed. These rules may be updated in line with the journal’s publication policy. Authors are expected to follow the most up-to-date author guidelines. The identities of the reviewers serving the journal are not publicly disclosed due to principles of confidentiality and ethical publishing. The article evaluation period averages 6–8 weeks from the submission date, and the process is communicated transparently to the authors via email. All peer review processes in our journal are conducted free of charge.

    Evaluation Process
Blind Peer Review and Evaluation Approach
All manuscripts submitted to the journal are evaluated under a double-blind peer review system, where the identities of both authors and reviewers are kept confidential. During submission, authors are required to upload files without personal information.

    Initial Review
The editor-in-chief directs submissions to the relevant field editors. Manuscripts outside the journal’s scope, with low scientific merit, or insufficient in terms of language quality are rejected without further evaluation.

    Pre-Evaluation
The field editor assesses the manuscript based on purpose, methodology, originality, timeliness, and contribution. If revisions are needed, the author is requested to make corrections within 7 days. Failure to respond will result in termination of the process.

    Reviewer Assignment
The editor assigns at least two reviewers according to the subject of the manuscript. Reviewers are not permitted to share evaluation documents with third parties or use the content for personal purposes.

    Evaluation Phase
Reviewers are given 4 weeks to complete their evaluations. Authors are required to make requested revisions within 10 days. Reviewers may request multiple revisions before delivering their final decision.

    Scope of Reviewer Reports
Reviewer reports cover the subject of the manuscript, theoretical framework, presentation of findings, originality, timeliness, ethical compliance, and contribution to the field. Additionally, alignment of the title and abstract with the content, use of academic language, and compliance with APA 7 standards are evaluated.

For studies requiring such approval, the manuscript must clearly state from which institution, on which date, and under which decision or reference number the approval was obtained.
