The Istanbul Yeni Yüzyıl University Vocational School Scientific Journal adheres to national and international ethical standards in research and publication. The journal is based on the Scientific Research and Publication Ethics Directive issued by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK). The publication process of the journal is grounded in the principles of impartiality, transparency, and compliance with scientific criteria. Peer-reviewed publications make the scientific method visible and contribute to the production of academic knowledge.
Our journal maintains a strict stance against plagiarism and unethical publishing practices. Authors are expected to ensure that their submissions are original, research-based, scientifically contributive, and in compliance with the publication guidelines. Authors must also declare that they have read and accepted the publishing and writing rules, and that they will adhere to the YÖK directive.
Reviewers are expected to carry out their evaluations within the framework of the responsibility to improve scientific quality, in a timely and impartial manner. Editors are responsible for ensuring confidentiality, conducting plagiarism checks, and upholding ethical principles. No fees are requested from authors or institutions under any circumstances.
Ethics Committee Approval
Ethics committee approval is required for all types of research involving qualitative or quantitative data collection from participants through surveys, interviews, focus groups, observations, experiments, or interview techniques.
For studies requiring ethics committee approval, the manuscript must clearly state the institution from which approval was obtained, along with the date and the relevant decision or reference number. The approval document must also be uploaded to the relevant section of the system.
In accordance with the Personal Data Protection Law, ethics committee approval is also required for retrospective studies.
